Safeguarding

At Essex Online School, safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do. We are dedicated to providing a secure and supportive online learning environment, ensuring that the welfare of every student remains our top priority. We firmly believe that safeguarding is a shared responsibility, and our team of qualified teachers and staff are fully trained to recognise and respond to any safeguarding concerns.

We understand that students learn best when they feel safe and supported.

That’s why we foster a safe and caring environment, ensuring all students have the confidence to speak up and thrive in their education.

Our safeguarding promise at a glance:

Creating a culture of safeguarding:

Safeguarding is embedded in all aspects of our work, ensuring students feel protected, supported, and confident while learning with us.

Safe online learning environment:

Our platform and programmes are designed with student safety as a top priority, creating secure, safeguarded online spaces for all students.

Fulfilling statutory responsibilities:

We work rigorously to identify students who may need extra support or who are at risk and act quickly to provide the necessary assistance.

Safeguarding responsibilities

Safeguarding at Essex Online School is a shared responsibility between Essex County Council, Tute Education and the school (if a student remains on roll).

Each party has specific roles to ensure the safety of every student.
