Off roll students

The Essex Online School provides immediate support to students who have been permanently excluded from school. The Essex Online School supports Essex County Council with its statutory duty to provide education from day six of permanent exclusion, whilst longer term placement decisions are being considered.

The Essex Online School  is short-term provision focussing primarily on:

English

Maths

Science

Whilst other subjects may be added to your timetable, you may not have as many classes as you would have had in school.

You will attend with other young people across Essex in your year group.

Whilst starting a new provision can feel daunting, there is support available to help you to attend your Essex Online School lessons. It is important to try and maintain a routine so that you can continue to learn and make progress.

What is
Essex Online School?

Essex Online School is a partnership between Essex County Council and Tute Education, who deliver live lessons, online to students.

Tute isn’t a traditional school, but they are a team of education specialists dedicated to ensuring that every child and young person can access quality education in a way that works best for them. All Tute’s teachers are fully qualified, experienced professionals who have worked in UK schools.
